A little bit of Louis...

Hello lovelies!

I hope you're managing to ease your way nicely back into routine and are starting 2016 off with a bang!  Mine has been relatively quiet thus far; I've never been a great lover of January, and here in the North of England we've had unbelievable amounts of rain, so much so that all I've wanted to do is be at home #JanuaryBlues.  I thought I'd chat today though about a dream purchase that I made over the Christmas period; but first let's start at the beginning...

My designer wishlist...

I don't know if I'm the only person in the world that has one of these-but for as long as I can remember I've had a designer wishlist.  The problem with designer products is that the list can be never ending-but whilst on holiday with my Mister last year, in passing conversation I decided to whittle mine down to five items that would (materialistically) make my life complete; they are as follows...

1 A Chanel handbag

2 A Burberry Trench Coat

3 A piece of jewellery from Tiffany and Co

4 A Louis Vuitton handbag

5 A cashmere Burberry scarf

Well, as it was my 30th birthday, I decided that now was the time to wipe one off the list.  Followers of my Instagram account will know which one...I bought myself a Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM....eeeeeeek!!!  I've got to say, it's not a decision I came to lightly either.  I deliberated for days over which one I really wanted, did I want the MM or the PM?  Was the Neverfull the right choice?  Not to mention parting with that much money for a handbag-the prospect sent cold shivers up and down my spine.  And I LOVE handbags.  But in the end I thought, that's what birthday money is for, right?  So I threw caution to the wind and clicked 'buy'!!  My, my, I'm so glad I did, because when it arrived I melted...it's absolutely beautiful and I can't believe it's actually mine!!

There's not a Louis Vuitton near me, so I ordered online.  I chose the Neverfull PM, the smallest of the Neverfull family in monogram canvas (classic) with a pivoine lining (the most beautiful fuchsia pink!).  Opening the parcel, I couldn't believe how beautiful the gift box was...

Inside, it was wrapped in the iconic dustbag....

And now for the big reveal...

The newer Neverfull's now come with a detachable pochette, to be used on its own as a clutch (and its a fairly decent size too) or as an extra pocket in the main bag, two bags for the price of one!

 The pochette and the pivoine!

I've only used it sparingly so far, but I absolutely love it! It's booked in for some age defying treatment at The Handbag Clinic at the weekend-I want to keep it looking pristine forever!

Who knows what I'll get next from my wishlist-if I get anything at all, all I know is, the best things in life are worth waiting for and I couldn't think of a better way to start my 30s!

What's on your designer wishlist?
