Opening of 'The Handbag Clinic', Newcastle...

Hello my lovely fashionistas!

This week I attended a fabulous event in Newcastle, the opening of the latest branch of The Handbag Clinic.  I first came across The Handbag Clinic when my lovely VBF got her beautiful Mulberry purse repaired at their shop in Burnopfield.  She was so impressed with their service, that when I was invited to the opening of their new branch in Newcastle's city centre I couldn't wait to see what was on offer, particularly as there was also the promise of a perusal of some  of their luxurious, globally sourced pre-owned handbags (including some beautiful Chanel bags-the stuff of my dreams!).

THC specialise in the restoration and repair of luxury handbags, so whether your Chanel needs a clean or your LV needs a new zip and a spruce up, they've got it covered.  They even offer a complete handbag re-colour!

My invite arrived on Thursday morning...

...and I couldn't wait to go! I threw on some French Connection and lace, picked up my beloved Vivienne Westwood Anglomania bag and skipped off to Newcastle (not literally!) to drink fizz and drool over some luxury items.

Arriving around 7pm, I was greeted with a glass of Prosecco and some fabulous canap├ęs from Sohe.

The store looked amazing, and was bright and inviting, with handbags from the world's most exclusive houses in touching distance.  As I'm approaching a milestone birthday, I've been interested in investing in a high-end handbag for quite a while now and whilst I think Chanel is probably still a little out of my reach (one day Coco dreamers, one day!), I was really impressed by the price and quality of some of the Louis Vuitton handbags on offer.  All of the bags in store are specially sourced and 100% authentic, so you can shop with complete peace of mind.

I spent the night drinking Prosecco with the lovely Chloe and Katie and we had a fabulous time looking at the luxury handbags and chatting about our favourites.  Much like me, Katie has always dreamed of owning a Chanel handbag and lucky for her, her dream came true at the event as she bought one!  Pre-owned and in immaculate condition, she preciously guarded it all night so no one could claim it for their own.  I can only imagine her excitement when she went to collect it on Friday, the store's official opening day.

Katie and her precious Chanel!

During the evening, we were also given a presentation on how cleaner and leather protection products can really help preserve the life and condition of those luxury leather goods.  The moral of the story?  If you're going to spend hundreds, prevention is definitely better than cure!  THC ladies also kindly gave us a free leather care kit in our goodie bags to treat our own handbags at home!

After a fabulous and informative evening, I can definitely see myself returning to The Handbag Clinic for all of my handbag repairs and maybe even to buy a luxury handbag once I hit the big 3-0!

Thanks to The Handbag Clinic for the invite and a wonderful evening!

Psyche Winter Fashion Event 2015...

Long time, no see my lovely readers! I hope you're all well!

I don't often get the chance to go to many blog events as I'm often working when they're taking place, but this week I was invited to a fashion event that I couldn't say no to.  In aid of the MFC Foundation, my Mister's favourite store, Psyche Fashion in Middlesborough was hosting it's Winter Fashion event, tailored at helping you find that perfect winter outfit whilst raising bags of cash for the foundation through silent auctions and a raffle.  Whenever I hear the word 'runway' mentioned, I'm there in a flash! I love a good runway show, and couldn't wait to see what looks Psyche had to offer.

I feel like I've fallen out of the blogging loop a little; there are some lovely, lovely bloggers in the North East, but as I don't get chance to attend many events I'm always nervous to go it alone in case I don't know anyone!  Luckily for this one, my Mister was just as excited as me to see what was in store at the event, so he was my plus one for the evening.

We arrived a little late, and were greeted with a glass of Prosecco (and a beer for him!) just in time for the runway show.  Starting with children's wear, then moving on to men's and women's winter fashion; the show featured looks to suit all styles and tastes from top brands available in store such as Aquascutum and French Connection amongst many others.  My photos are a little dark as we were quite near the back (stupid traffic!), but hopefully you'll still be able to see just how amazing everyone looked!!

My favourite looks were this beautifully styled Aquascutum trench and scarf (my favourite look to sport although my trench is from Zara!)...

This amazing Ted Baker dress...

And this absolutely stunning French Connection dress which was beautifully embellished and looked like something McQueen himself would've been proud of creating!

After the show, X-Factor star Josh Daniel drew the raffle, which had some amazing prizes on offer; I was gutted to have missed out on the Ted Baker pony-skin bag!  Then it was time to browse the store, where I spent an age wandering around the French Connection, Ted Baker and Michael Kors sections only stopping to sample some of the delicious (and free!) food and wine.  My Mister was smitten with some of the Fred Perry and Barbour goodies; food for thought for this year's Christmas present list and I'm sure we'll be back in January to spend our Christmas pennies!

The whole event was so much fun (although I'm pretty sure I missed out on a free goodie bag *sigh*!) and it's always made better when it's for a good cause.  Psyche is a great fashion emporium and if you get the chance, you should definitely give it a visit (or just check them out online here!).

Thanks so much to Psyche Fashion for inviting us, we had an amazing night, and thanks also to all of the staff and organisers for putting on a great event!  Hope to see you all again next time!
