The London Series: What I bought on my London trip...

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick one today to wrap up my London series with a little what I bought post.  I feel as if I've been blogging about London forever, but we did so much and had such a fun time in good old LDN that I didn't want to miss out a single detail!  But if you're like me, you'll love nothing more than a good old nose into someone else's shopping bags!!

My first purchase was this amazing (I'm not exaggerating or anything!) English Rose lipstick from Burberry Beauty Box in Covent Garden.  English Rose is one of the new lip colours from the Burberry Kisses range.  I'm a massive fan of hydrating lipsticks; I can't bear dry lips, so I couldn't resist this purchase after trying a free sample in a different shade.  Perfect for every day and a nice price at £25.  Plus Burberry Beauty is always fun to visit.  If you're in London, pop by and play with their lipstick and nail colour computer, it's so much fun!  I was also excited by the Burberry gift bag!

Whilst in Covent Garden, I also visited Jo Malone and purchased my first ever fragrance, 'Earl Grey and Cucumber' (£42).  I've heard a lot of bloggers talk about this scent, and after spritzing it in Fenwicks earlier in the the year I knew I HAD it have it.  It was almost a life or death situation!  I simply couldn't live without it.  Trust me it's that good!  Super citrusy and perfect for this time of year, spritz before an afternoon tea with your best girls.  I love it!

Apart from food and the obvious purchase of Laduree macarons, my next purchase was a bit touristy...

I wanted a little keepsake from The Shard and a lot of the gifts were overpriced tat to put it bluntly, but I really liked this black and white postcard (I'm a sucker for a black and white photograph!!).  It set me back about 79p so it didn't really break the bank, just what I was looking for!

My biggest purchase of the weekend was my new handbag.  I love Vivienne Westwood handbags, but I'm quite a picky handbag shopper; I've got to LOVE LOVE LOVE it before I'll part with my cash.  Before I went to London, I spotted this bag on the Selfridges website and absolutely loved the print, so when I visited and tried it on I was absolutely smitten!  It was the last one too, so after my amazing VBF suggested it to the nice sales guy, he agreed to knock 10% off the price, so it ended up being a bit of a steal at £126.  And to be honest it was free anyway; my lovely mister had given me some money for our ten year anniversary which I'd saved for my London trip so that bought my bag.  Guilt free shopping, my favourite kind!  The bag is sold out online, but there's a similar one in the Selfridges sale here, get it quick before it disappears!!

Sunday's purchases were made at the V and A.  I bought myself the accompanying book from the Savage Beauty exhibition, as well as a colour postcard of the Philip Treacy butterfly headdress and my own little butterfly.  I love fashion books and have so many now that I need to invest in a bookcase to house them all!  The Savage Beauty book was £25 and worth every penny!

So there you have it, my London trip in purchases!
