Happy Easter!! And an unusual turn of events...

Hello lovelies!

*It was Easter Sunday when I started writing this post and it was meant to be posted then, only I had a bit of an accident and ended up in A and E (I'm fine though!) so it took a little turn of events half way down.  But in the interests of not wasting a post, I thought I'd finish it anyways! Hope you all had a fab Easter!*

Happy Easter to all of you that celebrate it!  For me, Easter is all about spending time with friends and family, and so far I've had an amazing weekend doing just that!  Here's what I've been up to so far...

On Friday I had a princess day with my VBF...

Yes that's right, I went to see the new Disney's Cinderella and it was amazing, I loved it!!  It was so heartwarming and quite true to the first Disney adaptation of the story, but even better!  I loved that Ella was such a strong character and that the Prince had a refreshing air of normality mixed in with his nobility.  I loved Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother; she was the perfect person for that role.  The CGI mice were so adorable, particularly Gus, I'd love one of my own!  And don't even get me started on THOSE shoes...If I could afford a glass slipper I would have one!  Made from Swarovski crystal they are quite possibly the most beautiful things I have ever laid eyes on!!  I don't want to say too much about the film as I might spoil it, but if you're in doubt go and see it, you won't regret it, it's amazing!

We followed our morning at the cinema with an amazing afternoon tea!!  Again I'm not going to give too much away as I'm going to do a whole post about this later this week, but here's a little teaser of what's to come...it was delicious!

Natalie and I always buy each other a little Easter something so we also exchanged gifts on Friday.  I got her a necklace and a Thorntons Harry Hopalot chocolate rabbit egg and she got me these lovely bits and bobs...

I was so happy to get a Hoppity Poppity from Lush as I really wanted one!  She must've read my mind (I think it's best friend intuition!).  Thanks lovely!

On Saturday I...

I had a bit of normal day where I did some boring chores and went for a run, but followed it with a fab evening meal at the pub with my Mister and his family.

Sunday-derby day...

Yes, I got up on Easter Sunday feeling full of the joys of Spring!  The weather was glorious and I was planning on a day of eating well and hopefully celebrating another derby victory at the Stadium of Light with my lovely Mister and family.  I started the day well and was up bright and early for a walk around Herrington Country Park with this little cheeky chap...

...then after visiting my parents, coming home and getting showered and dressed for the match, I decided to do a little bit of blogging.  One minute I was typing, then the next I was being woken up by my Mister from my office floor.  I can't remember anything about it, but I woke up in a pool of blood; I'd split my nose open and blacked an eye from the fall.  I wasn't too panicked but knew that I'd have to sacrifice the football for an afternoon in A and E *sad face*.  After lots of tests, the lovely people at A and E were convinced that my accident was just an isolated incident and they weren't really too sure why it happened in the first place.  Neither am I for that matter, but I'm just glad I'm okay.  I do, however, look like I've gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson!

So after an hour or so in A and E, Sunday afternoon was spent at my lovely Mama L's house watching Sex and the City and being waited on hand and foot (it's a hard life I know!).  My Mister collected me from Mam's after the football and Sunday night was spent eating takeaway and Easter eggs...not so bad an ending after such a rough day!  As well as my gifts from Natalie, my Mam bought me a new top and Alice in Wonderland on DVD (it's my favourite story!), I got a creme egg egg from Chris's Mam and a Mini Eggs one from one of my lovely singing students.  I love white chocolate most, so my Mister got me this...

...nom nom nom!!!

Bank Holiday Monday...we went to Beamish!

Determined not to let my bruises ruin my Bank Holiday, I put on lots of makeup and headed with my Mister to a very overcrowded Beamish for the day!  I love Beamish and the glorious weather made it even more fun.  Again, I'm going to do a full post about our day soon, but here's a couple of snaps from our trip.

So all in all my Easter was fun but quite eventful!  I look even more sore today but I'm getting there...I'm not planning on hitting anymore floors for the foreseeable future though, that's for sure!

I hope you all had a fab Easter <3
