Chanel at Paris Fashion Week, and the new No 5 campaign...

Hello lovelies!

I was going to write a post all about my London Fashion Week SS'15 favourites (I particularly loved the Burberry show this time around, filled with vibrant colours!) but then once again I was bowled over by Chanel at Paris Fashion Week!  After being inside part of the Grand Palais this summer, it's amazing to see how Mr Lagerfeld makes such great use of the space.  This season's show, named 'Boulevard Chanel', saw KL create an entire street, house frontage and all, inside of the Palais.  The show was all about female power and culminated in a feminist-style march, with Cara et al holding placards and chanting through megaphones!  The Chanel show is always a great spectacle, but does the event detract from the clothes?  I would tend to disagree.  After watching the show video only once, when I visualise the march inside my head my memory is awash with the famous boucle fabric teamed with an array of exuberant and summery colours.  You can watch the show here:

My favourite looks from this season are as follows (all images taken from

Look 1
Look 3
Look 10-Just the jacket, I think its gorgeous!
Look 33-the detailing is exquisite!
Look 39-love the style and symmetry
Look 44
Look 55-60s retro chic at its best!
Look 85

My particular love of this show was the power suits, it's an 80s thing I'm sure but they looked so fresh on the runway!  And I always love the diversity of Karl Lagefeld's collections, so unique but so very Chanel.

Not only have I been spoiled with an amazing runway show, but I'm also IN LOVE (nope not exaggerating either!) with the new No 5 campaign featuring Gisele and directed by Baz Luhrmann of 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Romeo and Juliet' fame.  If you haven't seen it yet, please watch it here  #theonethatiwant.  The video is so sleek and elegant, and I dare you not to love the cover of the 'Grease' song by the same name, sang by upcoming new star Lo-Fang.  Utterly mesmerising!
