Mother's Day treats for my special lady...

Ola!

Gosh I've been busy! I can't believe I've had a week off, my feet haven't yet touched the ground! So sorry for neglecting you my lovelies.  So, how is everyone?!

I feel like I have so much to tell you, and I was going to do a goodies post (things I've purchased etc etc) but thought I'd start with this one instead.  Yes, I know I'm a bit late, but I want to tell you about Mother's Day!  My Mama L is my everything, so this Mother's Day I decided to take her for an extra special treat.  A new Jamie's Italian has just opened in Newcastle, and what better way to celebrate a day with your Supermam, than with a bit of retail therapy followed by a spot of dinner?

We started off in our usual hotspot...Fenwicks, for a wander round the designer section (a girl can always dream...even when she's saving for a holiday!!!) then up to the craft section so Mam could treat herself to a few bits and pieces.  My Mam is an avid crafter, and extremely good at it too, so there's always something she needs for card-making and whatnot! Then from there we browsed the makeup counters and Quel Surprise, I couldn't resist treating myself to another new Chanel lipstick...what is wrong with me??!!! Ha! I chose No 46 Liberte this time, another lipstick from the Rouge Coco Shine collection, and gorgeous on the lips! Quite subtle, with a warm orange tone to it and perfect for every day! I'm not going to lie, I don't know a lot about makeup, but I love the Chanel counter...maybe I should start walking past it with my eyes closed?!  I also enjoyed talking to the lovely girl who served me about Chanel's apartment at 31 Rue Cambon...I cannot wait to go to Paris, eeeeeek!!!

A little swatch to give you an idea...and I love a Chanel giftbag!

After much wandering, and scouring Primark for the perfect little monochrome bag (my little £6 bargain of the day!) we stopped for a coffee and a leg rest at Costa, then wandered some more before heading to Jamie's at 5.  We were a little early, so dabbled in a spot of afternoon drinking (mocktails for me, don't drink and drive kids!) before we sat down for our meal.  I always love visiting a new Jamie's, as every one is different from the last, and I love the layout of this one.  But you don't need me to explain...take a look for yourself...

From top to bottom: Pretty lights and the bar, then upstairs in the restaurant

A few drinks at the bar with my gorgeous Mama L, and a Mama/Daughter selfie!
My Mocktail was a lovely 'Berry Blast' mmm so refreshing!

Another Mocktail..Ginger Mojito <3
A bread basket and Olives to share, followed by a yummy Lasagne and a Prawn Liguine for Mama L!  Doesn't she look funky in her Vivienne Westwood tee?

We had a really great day, I always love shopping with my Mam, it's always nice to spend some quality time together! As for Jamie's? I'd really recommend it! The York restaurant is still my favourite, but this one is a close second! If you're going to go I'd recommend you book; they're always so busy! You can check out the menu and book here!

Last but by no means least, here's a shot of my bargain bag...I can't wait to use it.  After all, you can never have too many handbags, right...?

Current line: Primark £6
I hope you had a lovely day with the special lady in your life, whatever you got up to!
