Lush-Immaculate Eggception a quick review...

So, those of you that have been reading my blog for a while will know that I absolutely adore Lush stuff, I honestly cannot get enough of it, particularly the bubble bars and bath bombs.  I wrote in my Easter blog that my lovely Mama L bought me an 'Immaculate Eggception' bath bomb as a little Easter present, so I thought I'd do a little review.  The egg was huge, even though it looks teeny in the top photo (apologies for the dullness of the photos, the light in my bathroom is rubbish!), and it smelled absolutely devine!  I left it in my office room at home for a couple of days before I used it as I couldn't get enough of the smell, it smelled like sweets and good enough to eat...although I probably wouldn't recommend it...think of the pink froth that would be inside you ha ;).  When my Mam bought the bomb, the girl told her that if you smashed the egg it would do more than one bath, as there was a second part to the bomb inside which you could hear when you gave it a rattle.  This is personal preference but I wanted to use it all in one go.  A cute little extra as well, on the label it said you would have either a bunny or a chick inside, and mine as you can see from the photos was obviously the chick.  Okay, so first of all, I loved the array of colours that came out of the bomb when I dropped it into the bath, particularly when the chick popped out and left a lovely yellow glow all around it!  Second, and the best part, once the bomb was dissolved, it made the water silky smooth, so when I got out of the bath my skin felt and smelled amazing!  I was really pleased about this, as I was a little underwhelmed by the Valentine's Locket bomb I bought earlier in the year, which basically just coloured the water and apart from that, you couldn't really tell that I'd used a bomb at all!  On the whole I was really pleased with this little Easter beauty and I think it's well worth its £6.95 price tag, so I'd definitely give it a good solid 8 of out 10!  Fancy trying one for yourself? They're still available here!

  1. Thought you might like to know that there's another bloggers event taking place in Newcastle in a couple of weeks - it's Saturday 10 May at the Salsa Café, it's a charity meet up so I think it's £5 ish a ticket which you buy in advance. We're having food at the Salsa Café, cupcakes from Pet Lamb Patisserie and goodie bags! You can get tickets here: ... you should so hop on a train and come along?

    1. Thanks Chloe that's so thoughtful of you. I'm out on the evening for my Mam's birthday, but a couple of hours on the afternoon wouldn't hurt, I'll make sure I get my ticket :) sounds really good fun!
