Walking with Jay up Moorsley way...

Last Sunday, pretty much the majority of my family including my Mister, all hit the road to Wembley to support Sunderland in the Capital One Cup Final against Manchester City.  Something that I don't really talk about in my blog is that I am a football fan, and a massive Sunderland supporter, but don't worry I'm not going to go all tomboy on you all start talking about it here, I think there's a time and a place for everything! Well, to cut a long story short, I couldn't get a ticket, so I was keeping Jay-Jay company and decided to make the most out of the weekend as possible.

The Saturday before I met up with my lovely friend Lauren for lunch, and a little visit to Miss Manda's vintage fair in town.  I love a good vintage fair, and managed to bag (pardon the pun!) a couple of bargains, a lovely olive green handbag for £4 and a red satin shirt with the cutest little details for £5.  It was so lovely to catch up with Lauren too, as I hadn't seen her in the longest time! I rounded off the day with a trip to Chiquito's in Durham with my lovely VBF, for cocktails, giggles and the like...the perfect way to end the day with my favourite partner in crime :).

My little vintage bargain!
Wembley day, I decided to get up really early and take Jay-Jay for a long walk up towards Low Moorsley...a stone's throw from where I live.  I feel quite privileged to live in such a picturesque area, with lots of lovely places to walk and views to see.  The sun was shining too, so it felt like the perfect start to Spring...and Jay-Jay loved it! So much so that I had to share the pictures with you...

"Where are we going now Mam?"
"I think I've found a rabbit hole!!"

For those of you that are interested, Sunderland got beat 3-1, but the excitement of the cup brought such a great spirit to the city that it was really nice to be part of the magic! And even though I didn't manage Wembley way (I watched it on TV with my Mam and nephew Johnny) I definitely enjoyed muddy Moorsley way...let Springtime commence :)

Have you got any vintage bargains recently?
