The lovely Steph! We were rocking Christmas tartan for the day!

I don't really post about my job much, as it's something that I like to keep separate from my blog since blogging is my favourite hobby (besides shopping that is!), but on Sunday the two went hand in hand and it wouldn't really be appropriate to mention one without the other.  Well for my big girl job, I'm a singing coach and have been for the past seven years (gosh, it seems like forever when I put it like that!) and I also do a little bit of singing myself, mainly just for fun or for charity events now, but it's something that I absolutely love to do.  One of my loveliest students is Steph.  She is 19, and I've been teaching her for about 5 years now.  We are really good friends, so decided that for fun we would start doing a little bit of gigging together, and on Sunday at Serendipity's Christmas Vintage Fair, we did our first real set.  The day was really fun and I met some really lovely and interesting people.  I've taken some pictures of the stalls, just to give you an idea of what sort of stuff was on offer.  As you can see, my lovely friend Angela from Scout Vintage was there too, as well as another vintage clothes stall, and lots of other fab Christmas vintage goodies!  There was a Christmas jumper competition, and a raffle, and the whole day was really good fun.  We got some really lovely feedback about our set too, and got to eat cupcakes and drink mulled wine afterwards, what more could we want?

I've mentioned Serendipity in posts before, but as I am planning to do a full post about it for my birthday (I'm having afternoon tea there!) I'll just keep it brief today!! Serendipity is one of my favourite places in the world! It opened just over a year ago on Frederick Street and is the most delectable pink tearoom you could ever lay your eyes on!  The lovely proprietors June and Robin have become really good friends of mine and Mama L's, and you're always welcomed with a hug...it's like my home away from home.  I could quite easily live in a pink tearoom with a lifetime supply of cupcakes!!!  The food is all freshly made, and very reasonably priced...but don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself here!

Obviously I couldn't leave without taking advantage of the shopping, so I bagged myself a gorgeous jacket and skirt from one of the vintage clothing stalls for the bargain total of £10!!  What can I say? Even when I'm working I'm shopping! A good day was had by all, and if you like what you see, make sure you pop by next year!!!
